a great model of sunna to the present, Aashiq-e-Rasool, Leading Sufi,Reformer, A Renounced Eulogizer of the Prophet. Hazrat Allama Syed Muhammad Riazuddin Soharwardi has Programs been preaching the teachings of in a Feedback true spirit as a Khateeb and Imam of Appreciations Jamia Bughdadi Masjid, Martin Road, Dars Video Karachi. He has written more than 15 books on various topics and has recorded countless speeches on various Islamic topics. He is most famous for his services in spreading Naat-e-Rasool (Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam). He was the founder of Anjuman Andaleeban-e-Raiz-e-Rasool. He fought the independence of Pakistan movement. He was one of the founders and the first Secretary General of Jamiat-e-Ulama-e-Pakistan.
Imam Soharwardi was born in Jaipure, India. He spent most of his youth in Amritsar, East Punjab and most of his life in Karachi. His father Hazrat Allama Syed Muhammad Jalaluddin Chishty was Mufti of Kashmir (Baramula). Allama Jalaluddin Chishty later migrated to Amritsar (India) where he served as the head of Dar-ul-Aloom Nizamiah Sirajiah and the Imam of a Mosque.
Imam Soharwardi is one of the direct descendents of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Through Imam ja’far us-Sadiq (May Allah’s peace upon him), Imam Soharwardi’s lineage reaches Sayyidatunnisa (leader of all women) Hazrat Fatimah Binte Muhammad Ibn Abdullah (Peace be upon him), the wife of Ameer ul Mo’mineen Sayyidna Imam All (May Allah’s peace
upon him). His ancestors migrated from Syria to Iran where they settled in Zarrin OR Zarrindasht area in Isfahan province. During 1200s A.H. famous sufi scholar Hazrat Syed Bahauddin Ziryani (May Allah be pleased with him) was born in this family. Later, Hazrat Syed Bahauddin Ziryani migrated to Kashmir (India) and settled, where in his fifth generation, Allama Mufti Syed
Muhammad Jalaluddin Chishty (May Allah be pleased with him) was born.
Imam-ul-Asar spent a very simple life. His small house was adjacent to the Baghdadi Masjid. He slept less, ate less and wore simple dress. His whole life is evident that his heart and soul was filled with the love of the Holy
Prophet Muhammad (Sallal laahu Alaihi Wasallam).
The funeral of Hazrat Allama Syed Muhammad Riazuddin Soharwardy (Rahmatullah Alaih) had taken place on March 1, 2001 after Asr prayer at Jamia Bughdadi Masjid Martin Road, Karachi, Pakistan.
